Days & years flies TOO fast...

Yes, if you ask me. I feel it's just awhile I met GH. OMG... almost 3 decades today? Unbelievable ♥♥♥ Isn't it true when you have an enjoyable time together, things and life is easier? That's how I feel, anyway?

So, I set a love setting for 4. It is an impulse setting for 4. I am just thinking, kiddos might come over for dinner §:-) and greet us "Happy Anniversary, Ma & Pa?" Gosh... missing the kiddos around.

This is my and GH table during our anniversary (the first time we met). We're both enjoying the long years we been together, "against all Odds". It is amazing that we could keep our relation this many years. Two different people from two different worlds and still--- it works. I am so romantic and he is not. Well, this is a great day for an SS chaser. Sunny day. It doesn't matter if it is cold. I just did put on the right gears to keep me from coldness. I still am not fit for fight but it can't kill me having fresh air, huh?

GH is still in bed when I left. He is recovering with his colds too §:-( but we can't do anything with this winter sickness. Hope soon, we all get well.

MISSION: ACCOMPLISHED...

That's what I feel now when everything's in place in the new home of our daughter where she will be nesting this 8 years to come until she reach her goal. Master's & Doctor's degree. I keep my fingers X and pray for her success in life. Hope you share your prayers too.

With my & my GH (great hubby) colds, we both are exhausted but we're both happy to help. Kiddos are seeking their own lives now. As parents, we only listen and support them everything they needed, with our open arms.

So, I went to work today after a week break and absolutely not funny, to think, how I feel. As saying says "the show must go on". Busy as usual and the self appraisal went smoothly for the very first time in this department and the big "boss" came to me to have his practice and it is a kind of cool thing. I never felt conscious as I know, how my tasks are, and I know where I stand for. So, seriously, I don't bothered at all. For me, it was an honor. TY a bunch, for choosing my capabilities and my knowledge, that I built these many years in the branch. "THAT WAS MY DAY..." at work.

I am not fit for fight so, I skipped my dance lesson tonight. Although, I am dying to just go and watch my dance fellas but," naahhh... will see next time", I thought §;-( I came home early and it was unusual during Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursday and Sundays, LoL* GH prepared dinner for us and I can't resist not to just grab the lil tiny things I have, having a cozy time together. Isn't it lovely? Nothing special here honestly! He knows I love surprises and that doesn't matter if its a simple as I am. Loving it.

Chinese Tea for 2....

An absolutely Shady day...

As I stated on my yesterday's post, I feel I am having a flu, right? Today, is the day that every little tiny muscles I have, aches. I supposed to go to work with a high fever in the morning but when I stepped out; I felt feeling dizzy. I rushed up and cuddled myself under the warm donna and murmured to myself, "why now?". I woke up at noon and hungry §;-)

Anyway, in the afternoon, I was recovering the fever after boosting with medicine and vit. C. I know it is a bit late boosting, however, I need it this time. Lil Missy, is waiting for us tomorrow. And I know, she misses us.

My cutie friend in town sent a message, knowing I am not in the best of health. She informed me to come over for a chinese tea, after work. So, I rushed down, trying to set a table for two. As I feel now, I am not in the mood of preparing. I then grabbed what I have in reach.

I absolutely MISSED the 100th Party!

First of all, I am not liking my new facelift (Blogger's). You see and You know what I mean? Hmmm... it's a kind of, aaahhh..."whatever". No complains this time coz I am really running out of time.

I thought, when our kids move-out, we have all the time in the world, ??? Do we? Do I? Or am I just in the phase of adjusting? I keep myself busy that I don't even have time to my old routines. Anyways, hope my life will settle when Lil Missy (daughter) settle her habitat, soon... So soon and I am so excited.

(I AM HAVING COLDS), ha ha ha...Well, enough of my sighs and woes I don't like having it when we are having a long week-end soon.

WHAT A PERFECT DAY, I thought!

Problems left all alone after I been so busy with a hectic week at work and my activities. Week-ender by my own and it's such fun (I thought, second times around). Relaxes on an axis on the wheel of life (I thought 3rd times around §;-) TY my friends, you just keep me hanging on there.

Unfortunately, I am always tardy with my participation. So much at the moment at D`Box and of course, I have problem chasing what we are looking for. No sun, gray and dreary days makes my chasing so dull. Anyways, I got some shots around and about and hope this will do for the time being. Lucky it was sunny Sunday.

Week-End For Recharging---

Well, for many of us, week-ends are for self-battery recharging... chillaxing, mingling with family and friends and for me? Do you think, I am doing that? Honestly? I am still stressing out myself. The reason why, I can't take it easy---is, we have a visitor from Singapore. A colleague, who want to adventure the winterland.

Anyways, that's life sometimes. When one go? One comes! As for now, we are trying to entertain and keep our guest comfortable. It only happens one in a blue moon, having colleague from afar and want to join our lives in a short time §;-)

I was bragging my concern when lil daughter moved to study. "It is not funny", she reckoned, but she have to deal with her new life for a better and brighter future.

7 hours drive from the capital city of Sweden, isn't charming either! But, as I told her, life must go--- Everything will be fine after several weeks. It is absolutely hard to adjust with a new environment, new place, new friends and everything is "New". It is scary sometimes, but the only thing that can help to ease the uncertainty is to be open and see the positve things rather than pondering unnecessary thoughts.I keep my fingers X, wishing her all the best and pray for her success. Hope our visitor from Singapore (a colleague) who is staying with us for 10 days, will enjoy the winter wonderland.Hope you are all enjoying your weather, despite all minus or plus degrees.

Just a lil glimpse of the project we are doing this time... a bit slow but SURELY, indeed...

Well, As you can see flooring and isolations are well finished and of course our electrician done a good job connecting all the wirings and the lamps are ready with more than 1,200USD (only electrian cost) for 3 days poorer but we are much happier. Tomorrow, the ceiling will be isolated and the floor hearter will be deliver tomorrow. I am happy soon coz I am not living in a building site. *LoL

More issues in a couple of days again... soon, off we go to drive all the stuffs in the University.

Chaos on my TTT

Isn't it charming?

Another Tuesday had come and absolutely exciting to be with Lady Marty's TTT every Tuesday. As usual, I am always in a hurry to hang on with you ladies, but I don't actually waste any time, coz I am emjoying my time sharing my life at D´Box with you all.

I just came from my dance class at one of the famous dance school in Stockholm. "Tony Irving Dance Academy". I been dancing since March last year and I found that dancing makes my life more easier.

In the other side of my life, I am stressing out, coz my daughter is moving out this coming Friday. She will be moving to Lund, a 7 hrs drive from Stockholm City, where Lund University is located. So, it isn't funny when our kids move out. I am proud in a way that she have the courage to do so, without friends or anyone with her. Well, her life just starting and I hope and pray that she will march on the aisle of success as she is really interested of Neuro & Cognitive Psychology. Hopefully, she will finish her Doctors Degree and be a successful Neuro Scientist. Isn't that scary or interesting?

Well, enough on my whining and dabbling my woes around... Now, I will share how it looks like on top of our table or kitchen top etc etc...

While many of us stressing out packing up all Christmas ornaments and so? BUT, me myself? I am stressing packing things to move out. Our house looks like an evacuation center. However, I am loving it! It is seldom you see D´Box (my house) really tupsy turvy. This time, I don't really care how it looks like. Our lives isn't perfect, is it? I guess, we can be so upnosy and pretentious, just showing all the clean and perfect spots, just for the blog sake? Well, I actually don't live in a museum?

So, I am enjoying seeing Lil Missy, packing & unpacking the undecided things, then shopping her groceries and all those stuffs she needs, then ready to say goodbye to her lovely nest, that she also called D´Box. My heart aches, but this is her time to search for a brighter future. In all ways, as a mum, I am still by my kiddos side, for better or for worst. What do you think to parents who have kids who moved out? Do you feel how I feel?

What 's New in New Year? B4 & After

Hope Everyone had a great & peaceful New Year...

New Year, New SSS with a SUBTLE ones at D´Box

As I see... all you ladies, had a blast, goodbying 2010. My & your family gatherings, bondings sharing and giving, makes me so happy. I am so blessed to have my cousins & extended family in Sweden. I created my life with my family and friends, here coz I am away from home & dear family. I shared what I have and what I got. I am blessed, I found the blogging thingy, too. This makes my life easier. I can share my likes, my life and my world with you, my cyber friends. Thank you so much for all the inspirational words, the comments and the never ending visits. I do appreciate it. Thank you once again for being a friend.

In D´Box, I don't know what to start. I been into tablescaping and table top, the last half year of 2011 and or on & off. I missed SSS every week-end. It's too much to hang on. The projects at home grows fast too. And of course, I am a full-time career woman, a full-time housewife, a full-time mum and don't forget I have all my daily activities. I dance 5x a week and have my gym & classes at work too. Arrrgghhh... can I cope up all this? A matter of fact, I do, however, the question is, shall I manage, for how long? I do murmured "Hopefully, I do" The word I have in my mind is "PRIORITISE" and I do prioritise the things it need my priority. So, here was the busy life at home....

Remember, our house is absolutely, "petité"? It was a bit of a hard to do a DIY. I am not an interior designer and having one was not an answer either, or maybe my wallet was the problem, §:-) Anyhow, both me and GH gave a try, if it goes well, "fair enough", if it goes bad, though luck". So, then we started!!!

Well, simply said and we done the revamping:

OMG! it's not charming. I don't like dark stuffs

And the headboard... TURQOUISE, so calm
I don't really feel at ease at first...
Or, maybe curtain misses? Rugs was changed too...

Well, as you can see, the photos are not the best. How I wish, I could share you for real. It's a kind of a cutie, though? Or at least, if you ask me §:-) The efforts GH had and me, who sewed the curtains, blinds and the pillow cases (not the white ones) was a satisfying outcome. Helping together sorting out the looks of our home, make our understanding and the bonding as man and wife get more stronger. We sat and talked about the plans. I plan, decide and he is the doer, uhumm... of course, I am the assistant. Keeping him accompanied.

To those who don't know me, GH is minimalist and I am more in to "que sera sera", what I like, I put it there, thing? And I am loving it. So, we both comprimes... 50-50 and we both gave a HI-5!

Rounding up my NYear's Eve/Day...2011

Maybe, I am a bit of in a lazy mood...

After a hectic week b4 Christmas and NY, I feel decrepit. Colds is on and off. Working in this branch I am working with, isn't fun this time of the year. Every account must be close and every account must be clean b4 the year end. It's all accounts... our Nostro, Vostro & Loro accounts.

In a way, I kind a like my tasks, though. Just sometimes, there are times that I feded up but that is life, It "Must go on"... Living the real life? that's me!!!

My NY celebration was quite. D´Nics started at D´Box for a light lunch. As I told you ladies b4, each year, one of my cousins, gather us together. I wait my turn on year 2013. By that time, I know what to do and what to prepare.

As the year goes by, mine and my cousins kiddo's are growing so fast. It was the last NY last year that all of our kiddos joint with us. 2 big kiddos, my son & another cousin's son was not even during the dinner. This year, they asked if they can join their friends at midnight instead. Only 2 young ladies, both 15 yrs old were with us. Isn't that sad? When our children create their own lives? I realized now, how hurting it is. In 10 days, Lil Missy of D´Box is going to move in the university down south of Sweden. The lil house will be so empty.

5 Days b4 Christmas

Absolutely YULETIDE!!!

It's really amazing the year soon come to an end, when I heard Christmas TIME! Times flies so quickly and I don't realize that I am a year older? §;-)

In my part, as I said, no stress here. Well, me and my lil family will gather on the 24th. As usual, my big kiddo, who work as a chef at Arlanda Airport must work that day until 21hrs, so he will be joining us late... in a way. While his gf & son, will be at home earlier. The lil kiddie (daughter) is home having chillaxing time. She will move to south of Sweden on January 10th to study at Lund University, taking a Neuro & Cognitive Psychology. I am afraid that the house will be so empty now the kiddos are grown up and trying to create their own lives and family. As all of us do. Sad but true.

Therefore, it is wonderful to be with them in times like this. The feelings is remarkable. It feels like, I am visiting my parents. So exciting, although we met each other every now & then.

ANYWAYS, WEEK-END, WAS BONDING TIME...

OMG! I had deleted some of the photos... but had some left §:-(
It was cold outside, so lil lady decided to have tea time...
So, I decided to create a white/silver motives then gathered what I have.
Symbolizes the cold winter day in Stockholm, am I right?
This tea set are inexpensive but shall I care the price? This is the only thing I can afford.
However, I find it so nice and elegant. Cool in it's own way.

Remember, we only have tea? But as plate addict, I laid whatever I see.
With a matching silver sallad dessert plates.
I am good in gathering blings, my centerpiece is a:

They are from India & the silver glass are absolute CONRAN! purchased/UK
High-heeled cakeslicer is one of my inexpensive find!
I love this though? It's fun & I change the ribbon in every occassion.
The rester is a typical Asian appetif plate.

Well, that was our w/end. We had a great time together. The last days of bonding alone with the lil lady is priceless. Both kiddos are my treasures and hope they know (guess, they are).

This is the 3rd Advent.

In Sweden, we have some Christmas tradion, the Nobel Prize/day is on December 10, we celebrates with a big bang. Then, today, is Dec. 13, Sta. Lucia (Saint Lucy Day). School children sings Christmas song & other carols offices. Dec. 11, was a Sta. Lucia concert in Ericsson Globe Arena and I was there to watched the magnificience concert. Love the Christmas songs/carols. It was so cozy to see a couple of thousands of burning lights. AWESOME

Another Sunday comes...

Days flies so fast, right? It was just yesterday we celebrated the Haloween w/end. Suddendly, it's mid-week of December. 3 more weeks & it's Christmas. Thanks God, D´Nics don't have a huge family, so I skip the Christmas stress. GH don't really mingle with his cousins, although they live around vicinity. He have a brother who live away from the city of Stockholm. Sad to say, we only met them once or twice a year. Hopefully to meet them b4 Christmas.

We celebrate Christmas Eve with our respective families and in New Year's Eve, me & my lovely cousins gather together. Every year, a cousin invites all cousins & welcome the New Year, in this way ----Less stressful.

ABSOLUTELY QUICK YEAR...

It was just like yesterday we celebrated the New Year at my lil cousin's pad, then the Valentine'sDay, the death anniversary of my loving dad and that was March. June, lil Missy at home, graduated high school, my heart friends from Melbourne were at D´Box, July & August, me & GH (great hubby) celebrated our bdays, during the fall month of August. Suddenly it is end of the year. Isn’t it amazing? Days go too fast when we enjoyed what we are doing.

Anyhow, is the time for a cosy moment in every home, worldwide? I love Yuletide! The chimes, the scent of saffron and all Christmas spices. Ohhh... I so love it. Sadly enough, I am away from home, or my heart is away from my loving family. Nevertheless, that is life. Sometimes, we have to separate from our love ones, to create a new life with our own family. Those happy moments together cherished & mesmerized in our hearts.

Yummy... GH really appreciated the preparation for his day. He so love the dinner. I prepared a very simple recipe but he mentioned many times that it's a "sumptous" dinner. It's a pork noisette (compositioned) by my own way. I made a sauce of dijon mustard & basilica with a lil whisk of bacon. I prepared tagliatelle pasta for a change and at D´Box, green sallad is always a MUST in our table. Still Höganäs set here as you can see.

Smudge toffee cake (own recipe) Kosta Boda crystals. Can you see the cloché? I used my Kosta Boda crystal flower vase as a cloché rester, just to make sure that I don't make a mess on my tablecloth. Dajeerling tea purchased in Fortum & Mason, honey purchased in Greece a month ago. Tea mugs are also from Höganäs. I have a set of 16 from the smallest to the largest piece.

Another Week-Another Game?

Absolutely, it is!

But, my games always for real. There might time, I play for displays but most of the time, I love my real things join the fun.
This week, is my 2nd week I am not working, so I feel really a homey mum and I think, I am loving it. I can wake up whenever, do the things I didn't managed to do when I am working 8 to 5 and do the blogging. Like now... I cope up & hang up with you, ladies! Isn't it luxurious? However, I feel, I am missing something, though? The social life. For instance, meeting old & new colleagues. The chit-chats, coffee breaks, group gym/work-out, the problem solving, changing my attire everyday, in case, a meeting with clients come up and the yelling coz my trades didn't settled on time.
Ahhh... Life sometimes is so hard to cope up with. Sometimes a "bitch" but doing the things that make us happy and contented, is worth living, isn't it?

My sink & some simple things to fit the motives

I guess this is the first time I show you, ladies, how D`Box kitchen top, looks like. I have a very little kitchen but I have enough place/cupboards to hide all my knicks-knacks. My kitchen motives are red/black/white... that's the reason, I have the big red plate on the top of my windowpain and red candle. Our kitchen is always the first spot in D´Box that is a tip-top clean. If not? D´Nics, ruin my day §:-)

C.R. Carlström silver flatwares/double tablecloth

This silver flatwares are absolutely very swedish and manufactured in Stockholm. I purchased this set for 23 yrs. ago in an antique store. The old lady told me that this is a typical Sheffield crown and known as a 40.50 yrs old. I am adoring them. I have a dozen, from teaspoons to soup spoons.

100% cotton/linen tea towel...

To you, who just came to know me, just want to tell you that I am a good modifier. Everything in handy, must modify. So, I found this tea towels and it's hand embroidered. I can't resist to buy 2 dozen. 1 in this colour and the other dozen was red and white stiches. Fantastic.. Today, I use them as my tablenapkins...

Simple centerpiece---A sign of abundancy

I am so in love with all centerpieces I/You have in your/my table. In my own opinion, this lil piece makes our celestial tables and give a beautiful ambiance with a delight dining. In this simple one, I have demounted a 2 tier cakestand and I gathered what I have around D´Box. On "top" of it lays mini pumpkins, purple sweet corns, artichoke, an egg choco and my rusty sceptre. I found they are worth joining.

Russian cut crystal glasses...

This are purchased by my russian friend. I love cuts. It looks so well carved. Perfect for my kitchen motives (again!).

My shabby chic/country dinner set

I always dream to collect this set, since awhile ago. I am loving them. Many of my swedish co-bloggers whom I know use their treasure only during special occasions. While, I am using them when I feel like using them. Friends & family started to buy when I celebrate my birthdays or Christmas. Now, my collection is almost end up.

Recently, I showed one of my ruffled dinner plate. Many of us who love shabby chic drools. I have 1 set of 8 for every set from dinner plates to saucers.

And I said... absolutely, it is... or it's just a matter of fact, that " I am, or Am I?"Huh! Am i trying to be complicated as many think I am so? Anyways, whatever it is, I am joining with Lady Marty's party every Tuesday (luckily enough, I managed) & BNOP of course though colds strikes at D´Box.
Here in Scandinavia, come's the gorgeous Falls/Atumn weather... isn't it beautiful when our sorrounding shift colour to the seasonal one? Amazing! Watching the green leaves turns into fall colour, trees and grass dies and hibernate?? It is magical to my eyes. Well, it's freezing but when you have the right gears, everything's OK.

Revamping D´Box Family Room...

Atumn is now cripin´in... it's just a matter of time and a matter of FACT.

I am not sure if Atumn is knocking your doors too, where you are now, my dear Ladies? Here in Stockholm, Sweden, it's Fall time & it's knocking our doors now. It's raining, windy, cold and dark. Saturday was a day of picking up the garden/exterior furnitures. Some of them will be keep and some will be thrown away. While Sunday is a quite day at D´Box. GH (great hubby) was busy with his projects in the sunroom or entrance porch. It's time to get busy ready for the cold winter months.

It was forecasted awhile ago that Scandinavia will have a long and cold winter this year. Just thinking of that "long" feels depressing, isn't it? But, making that positive, I decided to make a lil modification of our simple family/ sitting room.

At D´Box, the family/sitting room is use when the family discuss of something, welcoming our guests for tea or such. As you can see, the room is petité. Therefore, I have to minimize the pompous and bulky furnitures. GH is more minimalistic and his world it's always contemporary, that is. While LOTH (lady of the house, that's ME), has no LIMITS… Weeeehaaaaa… I am loving everything and mixing things is my expertise §:-) People who know me calls me Mrs. Complicated.

Oh yeah! First of all, thanks to you all for visiting. Of course to many who wonder, why and what is D´Box? Well, my house is so small and in the fact that it is. The very first day, we moved in, I named this house D´Box, coz it looks like it. Now, you know §:-)

Anyhow, it's a precious Box, right? But, am loving it. Why should I have a huge house? In a way? of course I would love to if you ask me? But having a small house, doesn't mean, it can't be pretty or cozy? I rather have a box than a cold mansion? That's just my opinion, k?

Well, blah blah... Now, I need to go to our topic and I am still proud to share to you my simple living in D´Box located in Stockholm..

As you noticed, I been adding some bit" & piEcEs of my new atumn dinner set. It happens that I received a set of shabby and chic dinner set and I found that I love ém, so now, I been chasing buying and adding to complete the whole set. HOw I wish, I can find the dinner plates. I am crossing my fingers even my knees, that there is still in the factory, but unfortunately, they didn't answer my inquiry as of yet.

In a way, it's nice to be back to basic, however, I love to stay where I was. But, my piggybank is almost empty and this must be fill in again for another enjoyment to come.

Can I still join?

Sorry, gorgeousness! that I am late again. Too much to do at work as this month is a so called "Industrial Vacation" in Sweden. Sad to say that staffs who stayed at work since June 17 to Aug. 17 works like "...LL".

Anyhow, that's life. My turn on Thursday until Aug 8. Then I save 3 weeks for autumn & winter vacation. Agadir in Marocco is in the list, Dubai & Monte Carlo. So, it isn't bad, somehow.

While, am busy at work, GH (great hubby) is busy painting windowframes and we changed the wallpaper in our bedroom. Then, of course, LOTH (lady of the house) wanted to change the curtains & blinds. Sewing--- like am joing the "Runway" §:-)

The outcome will be shown another time, as I have to hurry to join Lady M's party.

Many people wonder why I am not too active in my blog? I received comments & emails. Some forget me and some stay. Friends around said "why UR too bz?"
Hmmm... I wonder that too? How I wish, I have 8 days a week & 42 hrs a day, a stay home mom or just.... "whatevah" to cope up all my missed time.

Nothing special in the D´Precious Box (what I call my house, coz it is petité) table, however, I would like to share with you the simple way of swedish/filipino living.

I had an off day today and I was so happy I could play some things that are hidden under the porch or in the boxes during winter...

Midsummer Mood...on my SSS

My Mid-summer Celebration

Yes! Sweden was on holiday on the 24th June 2011. Time to celebrate the 2011 Midsummer. It was nice weather, although it wasn't a hot day but it was pleasant day.

Here was my day with family & friends...
The day started with this--sunshine!!! Outside home---
Gazebo catches pretty shadow... Then in vicinity courtyard...

Then, sun hid under the dark clouds...
Lil Liz could only showed her subtle me too...
GH & lil Liz aren't so happy with the sun, huh?

Anyways, I am indoor and it doesn't bother me... I use to tell my family, " there's nothing bad weather, put on the right gears and everything will be OK"

Absolutely EXHAUSTED!

Yes, at last. Everythings' done. Dress, check! Graduation hat, Check! Shoes, Check, Grocery, Check! Party... CHEEEECKKK--- one thing me & GH are awaiting is her general grades of every subjects. We compromises that for every A's, she will get a $100 or 1000SEK. Ha! GH & I were nervous. As far as we know, lil Liz harvested most A's.

Relieved after the chaos of my daughter's graduation. I didn't realized that, it isn't like yesterday. During my day? A dinner & disco with friends was absolutely awesome & good enough.

It's been awhile!!!

Absolutely, awhile not hearing or posting anything. Another reason for being lazy or busy. I have so many priorities that favors both my private, work and whatever life, I have.

So much busy with work preparing for the summer vacation looking for substitutes, I have my driving lessons as well as my dance session (U think I can dance) ahhh... just thinking of those things stressing my bones up. But, I am loving it. Soon, am done and am free with my responsibilities.
